GW is monitoring possible inclement weather for the Washington metropolitan area. In the event of a change to the university’s operating status, information will be posted to CampusAdvisories.gwu.edu. A power outage has been reported at the Mount Vernon Campus. GW is aware of this outage and continues to monitor the situation.

Street Closures, Parking Restrictions, and Metrobus Detours for National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Thursday, December 4
The annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place near the White House on Thursday, December 4. The ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. Road closures around the White House begin at 1 p.m. and continue until the conclusion of the program at 7:00 p.m. Affected roadways include 15th, 17th and 18th Streets NW.
Today, November 24, 2014 the Office of Safety & Security will be testing all digital signage throughout the Foggy Bottom Campus. The test will be from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
