DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating an assault suspect identified as 42-year-old Mohammed N. Niazi of Staunton, Virginia. He is currently wanted on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon -- Hammer, which was committed on the George Washington University Campus on October 9, 2009, at approximately 3:00 pm.

Mohammed N. Niazi is described as a light complexioned male, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, 5'8" tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. Anyone who sees Mr. Niazi or who knows his whereabouts should take no direct action, but contact police immediately. The suspect should be considered Armed and Dangerous.
