Datacenter Maintenance to Impact Campus Technology Services and Systems, Friday, August 8th
What: Maintenance to perform upgrades to the datacenter power infrastructure will result in a service outage effecting several applications and services.
When: 6 p.m., Friday, August 8 through 9 a.m., Saturday, August 9
Who is affected: Users of the following systems will not have access to the following systems and/or services:
* Colonial Mail
* Enterprise Accounting System (EAS)
* Colonial Calendar
* Novell File and Print Services
* Nolij Web
* Facilities Focus/FixIT
* Cognos (data warehouse)
* RMS Housing
Purpose: Planned replacement of back-up power components to reduce future unexpected service interruptions and potential equipment damage due to future unplanned power losses.
Impact to users: Services on the systems noted will not be available for access or use. Systems will be shut down Friday, August 8, at 6 p.m., and restored by Saturday, August 9, at 9 a.m.
