The George Washington University, GW University Hospital and GW Medical Faculty Associates will conduct an annual safety and security training exercise at the Foggy Bottom Campus on the morning of Friday, Nov. 20, 2015.
The exercise will take place at the Science and Engineering Hall, located at 800 22nd St., NW. We do not anticipate any disruption to classes held in this building. The university, GW Hospital and the GW MFA will continue to operate on normal schedules during the exercise.
Please be aware that there may be an increased presence of GW Police Department and D.C. law enforcement personnel in the area during this time.
This annual exercise will examine the operational response of an emergency scenario on GW's campus and assess coordination between the university, hospital and MFA and local law enforcement agencies.
The university is committed to keeping members of the GW community safe and secure. The exercise is part of GW's Emergency Operations Plan, which guides the university in planning for and responding to incidents that may affect the university.
GW EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS REMINDERS:
We encourage the entire GW community to plan ahead for potential emergencies and talk to family, friends and classmates about their personal emergency preparedness and safety efforts.
