Wednesday, September 12 in First of Series of Events on Campus

INTER-FAITH SERVICE AND CANDLELIGHT VIGIL

***This event is co-sponsored by GW President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg, the Student Association, the Program Board, and the GW Board of Chaplains. Following the inter-faith service, attendees will be invited to walk by candlelight to the "Silent Vigil" at the University Yard.

***This event is sponsored by GW students in CARE (Community Activism & Rewarding Experiences), a residential learning program in Crawford Hall.

The inter-faith service and candlelight vigil and the silent vigil are among activities taking place at The George Washington University to mourn the victims of yesterday's tragedies in New York and Washington.

Counselors from the University Counseling Center will be available at the vigil. During this crisis and its aftermath, those wishing to speak with a counselor from the Center may call (202) 994-5300 during business hours and can access emergency counseling services after hours through the University Police Department at (202) 994-6111. Special programs and walk-in services will be offered around campus during the next several days.
