University Statement Regarding Non-Specific Threats to Washington, DC

The George Washington University is aware of the non-specific threats allegedly made by ISIS against Washington, D.C. and other western countries. The authenticity of the video has not been verified. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and federal partners, there are no credible threats to the Washington, D.C. and other western cities and countries.

The Office of Safety and Security continues to monitor developments and work closely with local and federal law enforcement partners.

The university community is reminded to report any unusual activity or objects out of place to the GW Police Department at 202-994-6111 or call 911.
