The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to begin roadway maintenance work on 23rd Street between Constitution Ave and I Street NW between Monday, April 8, 2024 and Friday, April 19, 2024.
Daily hours: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Location: 23rd Street NW from Constitution Avenue to I Street NW
Temporary lane closures are expected, with one travel lane remaining open.
Adjacent curbside parking may be restricted during the repair work. If so, parking signs will be posted at least 72 hours in advance at locations where parking will be restricted.
Traffic control devices (cones and barriers) will be in place to warn pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers approaching the work zone(s). Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling near the work locations, be prepared for possible detours, and be observant of the work zone.
Cyclists should be prepared to adjust their routes accordingly. Metro bus will continue their routes. Flaggers will be available to manage traffic, and arrow boards will be utilized as necessary.
