The District will host events in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday on Saturday, June 14.
Due to extensive road closures, the Foggy Bottom campus will be restricted to local traffic beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, June 13, through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16. A full list of road closures and adjustments can be found on the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s website.
The university will remain open and operating during this time period.
Guidance for Friday, June 13, is as follows:
Classes
- Faculty should proceed with scheduled classes normally or notify students of alternate arrangements as soon as possible. Students with questions should contact their faculty directly.
Work Schedules
- Essential on-site staff should report to work in person as scheduled. Contact your supervisor directly with any questions or concerns.
- All other staff should telework if work can be performed remotely. Contact your supervisor directly with any questions or concerns.
Clinical Enterprise
- Those with clinical responsibilities should follow the guidance of your clinical coordinator or designated supervisor.
- The GW Medical Faculty Associates and GW Hospital will be open and operating on a normal schedule.
Campus Activities
- On-campus events and activities, such as campus tours and camps, planned for Friday, June 13, will take place as scheduled.
