All GW campuses and centers will be open on time on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Operations will proceed normally with in-person classes and staff work.
This applies to the Foggy Bottom, Mount Vernon, and Virginia Science and Technology campuses; the Biostatistics Center; and the Alexandria and Arlington education centers.
Campus Transportation
- The Mount Vernon Express will operate beginning Saturday morning, on a weekend schedule.
- Safe Ride will remain out of service Saturday night/Sunday morning due to local roadway conditions.
- The Late Night Shuttle Van will operate starting Friday at midnight through 7 a.m. Saturday.
- The Foggy Bottom Safeway shuttle will operate on Saturday.
- MVC Safeway Uber will operate on Saturday and Sunday.
- All Campus Transportation services plan to resume their regular schedules on Monday; any updates will be posted on the Transportation website.
Additional Information
- Gelman Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Gelman Library will then reopen on Sunday at 10 a.m. for normal 24/7 access.
