Walk for Peace - Anticipated Impacts to Foggy Bottom Campus

The Walk for Peace will conclude in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 10 and 11, 2026. This event is anticipated to have a significant impact on the Foggy Bottom campus, including changes to building access, temporary road closures, parking restrictions, traffic disruptions, and an increase in crowds and foot traffic.

Please note the following temporary changes to building access:

  • The University Student Center and Gelman Library will be accessible by GWorld tap access only from 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, through 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
  • Lerner Health and Wellness Center and South Block will be closed from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, through 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
  • Point Chaud Café & Crêpes will be closed from 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, through 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12.
