On Thursday and Friday, September 24-25, 2026, the Chinese President will visit the District of Columbia with multiple events occurring at the White House.
GW community members can expect to see increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area between September 23 and September 25. An active list of road closures and parking restrictions can be found on the MPD Advisory Webpage for this event, along with further information about vehicle and pedestrian access to the affected areas. GW’s Office of Emergency Management is collaborating with local and regional public safety organizations to monitor activity in the district and will send email and/or text alerts to the entire GW community if necessary.
