Winter Storm Warning

The George Washington University is monitoring the winter weather forecasted for the region and will continue virtual learning, telework, and limited in-person activities on Monday, January 3. 

  • The COVID-19 testing centers at the Foggy Bottom Campus will remain open. If you are unable to travel to Foggy Bottom, please reschedule your test for the next available appointment.
  • Designated on-site personnel, including the Research community, should contact their supervisors for reporting instructions.
  • Any student with clinical responsibilities should check with their clinical supervisor for further instruction. If any student with clinical responsibilities believes that the conditions are unsafe and are not able to make it in, please let your resident, attending physician, or clinical instructor know.
  • Move-in will continue as scheduled for those students who have pre-approval and cannot adjust their schedule. Campus Living & Residential Education will provide those students more detail in a separate email. 

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning, which is in effect from 1 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022. Snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches are possible with winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Travel could be very difficult.
