GW ADVISORY

Winter Weather Advisory

The George Washington University is open and will continue virtual learning, telework, and limited in-person activities on Friday, January 7.

  • The COVID-19 testing centers at the Foggy Bottom Campus will open at 10:00 a.m. If you can't make it to your appointment tomorrow, return to the testing center during operational hours to complete your test at your earliest convenience with your original barcode; no need to reschedule.
  • Designated on-site personnel, including the Research community, should contact their supervisors for reporting instructions.
  • Any student with clinical responsibilities should check with their clinical supervisor for further instruction.  If any student with clinical responsibilities believes that the conditions are unsafe and are not able to make it in, please let your resident, attending physician, or clinical instructor know.
  • Move-in will continue as scheduled for those students who have pre-approval and cannot adjust their schedule. Campus Living & Residential Education will provide those students more detail in a separate email.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, which is in effect from 9 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 through 5 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible. Travel could be very difficult.

GW Emergency Management will continue to monitor the weather forecast for our campuses and post updates on campusadvisories.gwu.edu.
